Full Time Web Developer / Sys Admin position

Veer West is a young web startup doing software-as-a-service. The models we respect and try to emulate are 37signals, Fog Creek Software, and Atlassian.

Our main product, FormAssembly.com, is used by thousands daily and growing. We are looking for a sysadmin / web developer with an entrepreneurial spirit to help us take the business to the next level.

We are a privately owned company, located in downtown Bloomington, IN (USA). You will be working in our office or tele-commuting if you have the right experience, self-discipline and motivation.

This is a full-time position. The compensation is to be negotiated. We can offer a mix of salary/benefits/vacation time/shares. Tell us what matters to you and we’ll try our best to accommodate you.

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Solid experience with Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript.
• Ability to put in extra time nights/week-end for emergencies
• XML/XSLT experience a plus
• Oracle or MS SQL experience a plus
• Knowledge of MVC pattern and frameworks a plus
• Contributions to open-source projects, personal projects a plus,
• Quick learner
• Fluent English.
